Delivery Information
Where we go, on what days, at what times, what it costs, and how late you can order.
Last updated 3 September 2026
On this page
We cut the greens on the morning they go out to you. Everything on this page – the days, the windows, the cut-off – follows from that: a round that leaves in the morning needs its picking list closed the evening before.
This page forms part of the Terms and Conditions.
Until we open
The farm is still being built and ordering is closed. The rounds described here start when the shop does. We're publishing it now so you know what you'd be getting – and so that if you live just outside the covered area, you tell us, because that is exactly what decides where the first routes go.
Where we deliver
The round is drawn as a radius of roughly 35 km from Maia, where the vans leave from. Inside it, we deliver to these municipalities:
Barcelos · Espinho · Gondomar · Lousada · Maia · Matosinhos · Paços de Ferreira · Paredes · Penafiel · Porto · Póvoa de Varzim · Santa Maria da Feira · Santo Tirso · Trofa · Valongo · Vila do Conde · Vila Nova de Famalicão · Vila Nova de Gaia · Vizela
Some of these are covered only in part – distance decides, not the municipal boundary, and there are parishes of Barcelos or Guimarães that sit closer to us than places inside the metro area.
Your postcode is the definitive answer. Type it at checkout and the site tells you straight away whether we reach you. If we don't, farm pickup is still available – and tell us anyway, because that's how the round grows.
Days and time windows
We deliver three days a week:
| Delivery days | Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday |
| Morning window | 09:00 – 13:00 |
| Evening window | 17:00 – 21:00 |
Both windows are available on all three days. At checkout you pick the date and the window from the next available dates. We don't deliver same-day – that morning's greens were already cut for the orders that closed the evening before.
The cut-off: 18:00 the day before
An order has to be placed by 18:00 the day before delivery. That's when we close the next morning's picking list.
Order after 18:00 and the earliest date the site offers you is the round after next – that isn't a bug, it's the cut-off working. It's enforced on the server too: leave a tab open and check out past the hour, and the order is refused rather than added to a van that's already loaded.
Options and prices
| Option | Price | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | €3.50 | 2–3 business days |
| Express | €6.50 | Next business day |
| Farm pickup | Free | Collect from the farm, no delivery address needed |
Prices include VAT. The delivery charge is always shown before you confirm the order, and it isn't covered by discounts – not by the subscription discount and not by the loyalty card. The round costs what it costs whichever box is on it, and discounting it would be discounting diesel.
Farm pickup: not yet. Once the growing room can receive people collecting, the address and the hours go here.
On the day
- Greens are cut on the morning of delivery and travel in packaging meant to get them to you alive.
- Refrigerate them as soon as they arrive, in the original packaging or an airtight container. We'll publish the tested shelf life for each crop before we open – until then we won't promise you a figure we haven't measured.
- If you're not in: we'll leave the order in a safe place at the address where that's possible and sensible. If it isn't, we bring it back and contact you to arrange another go. A second attempt may carry a further delivery charge.
- Leave access notes with the address – floor, buzzer, gate – especially in apartment buildings. It saves us both a phone call at the door.
Subscription deliveries
On a subscription you don't pick a date each time: you pick a usual weekday, and we fit each box onto that day's round.
- You can reschedule the next box to another available date without moving the charge date.
- You can change the contents, the day and the address up to 24 hours before each cycle's charge. After that, that cycle's box is fixed.
- If your preferred day isn't available in a given cycle, the box goes on the nearest following round rather than waiting.
All of it is managed from your profile. The full subscription rules are in the Terms and Conditions.
If something goes wrong
If the box arrives damaged, incomplete or not as it should be, write to us the same day or the next at suporte@verdenova.pt, with your order number and a photograph. We replace on the next round or refund the affected items, whichever you prefer. We won't ask you to send spoiled greens back.
The full procedure, and your statutory rights, are in the Terms and Conditions.
Changing or cancelling
You can change or cancel an order up to the same 18:00 cut-off the day before, by writing to us. After that, the harvest is already being done for you.
Something here unclear?
These pages are meant to be readable, not just published. If anything on them doesn't make sense, ask us and we'll explain it – and fix the wording.
